EXPERIENCE:
Sander joined Woods Fuller law firm in August of 2017 as part of Woods Fuller’s corporate law, mergers, and acquisitions practice group, and is a member of the Woods Fuller health law team. Sander is an LLC attorney and a health care practice advisor whose practice focuses primarily on business and corporate transactions assisting clients with legal matters such as:
Guiding individuals in the selection of an appropriate business entity and the formation of their partnership, company, or corporation;
Advising clients on operational aspects of their businesses, including risk management, contract drafting, and ownership changes;
Rehabilitating corporate recordkeeping practices and establishing healthy operational corporate practices in order to avoid disputes and protect clients; and
Facilitating financial and lending transactions and mergers/acquisitions, ranging in scale from thousands of dollars to hundreds of millions.
As a member of the Woods Fuller Health Law Team, Sander works with healthcare entities as they make changes to their organizational structure and documents (such as operating agreements and corporate bylaws), acquire new entities, or explore new corporate possibilities. He also focuses on general corporate hygiene matters, including record maintenance and other critical but often overlooked corporate formalities.
Sander was born in Oregon but grew up in Denver, Colorado. He moved to Sioux Falls in 2010 to attend Augustana University. After graduating from Augustana University magna cum laude with a degree in Government, he moved to Iowa City to attend the University of Iowa College of Law. While in law school, Sander served as a contributing editor on the Iowa Law Review and received highest honors for the Boyd Service Award. Following his graduation in May of 2017, he returned to Sioux Falls to join Woods Fuller.
In his free time, Sander enjoys spending time with his wife, Kim, and their dogs. Both transplants to Sioux Falls, they enjoy exploring the city and South Dakota at large. They love downtown and frequent the growing number of breweries in and around Sioux Falls.
