Wiederrich to Chair Education Foundation< 12/14/2009 8:00 AM > Jim Wiederrich has been elected as Chairperson of the Sioux Falls Public Schools Education Foundation for 2010. The Foundation’s purpose is to enhance educational opportunities and promote achievement among all students of the Sioux Falls School District by supporting academic projects and activities not funded by tax dollars. In 2009, the Foundation awarded 22 Innovation in Education grants totaling $22,000.00. These awards were made to teachers in elementary schools, middle schools and high schools desiring to introduce new teaching projects or approaches in the classroom.
