• Workers' Compensation Litigation

  Workers’ Compensation is a highly specialized area of the law. In South Dakota, as in many other jurisdictions, the statutes in effect on the date of loss govern the claim. Accordingly, to effectively represent clients in this area, attorneys must be aware, not only of statutes currently in effect, but of the legislative history of statutes governing claims in the distant past. When a claimant attempts to reopen a claim, knowledge of the law as it existed at the time of injury is critical. The members of our firm working in this area have that knowledge and the expertise necessary to implement it.
