EXPERIENCE:
Jake is originally from Le Mars, Iowa, and joined Woods Fuller following his graduation from the University of Nebraska College of Law. He was named Shareholder in 2026.
Jake is a civil litigation attorney with a focus on commercial construction law, trust and estate disputes, and restrictive covenant agreements. As part of his construction law practice, he frequently represents general contractors and subcontractors in payment disputes, claims involving workmanship issues, and other contract matters. For his trust and estate litigation practice, Jake has represented both trustees and beneficiaries regarding claims for breach of fiduciary duty and asset management. He also advises employers and employees on the enforceability of restrictive covenant agreements. Jake has represented clients in trials, hearings, and mediations.

Jake lives in Tea with his wife and their son. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, walking the dog, golfing, and reading. For better or worse, he is an avid Husker fan, attending several games every year.
