EXPERIENCE:
Justin Bergeson is a Sioux Falls civil litigation attorney who joined Woods Fuller in 2021. His civil litigation practice primarily focuses on government liability, insurance defense, construction law, and commercial disputes. Justin is licensed in South Dakota state court, the District of South Dakota, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Justin is originally from Hartford, SD. He attended Black Hills State University in Spearfish, SD, where he was an academic all-conference and all-conference track athlete, and earned a bachelor’s degree in history. He then worked as a congressional staffer for Senator John Thune in Washington, D.C., from 2015 to 2018, before attending law school at the University of Nebraska, where he graduated with distinction and served on the Moot Court Board.
Justin lives in Sioux Falls with his wife and two daughters. Outside of work, he is involved with the Knights of Columbus and enjoys spending time with his family and their two dogs.
