EXPERIENCE:

Shelly has practiced law with Woods Fuller law firm since 2007, after clerking with the South Dakota Supreme Court in Pierre. As an attorney at Woods Fuller, Shelly focuses on three primary practice areas—family law, government liability, and collections.

Shelly regularly represents clients going through divorce, custody, alimony, property division, guardianship/conservatorship, child support, and other family law disputes. Shelly is also privileged to represent government entities and individuals at the state, county, and city levels. She also assists clients seeking to collect unpaid bills from South Dakota or Nebraska debtors.

Outside of the courtroom, Shelly remains busy as an active parent of four children “who are involved in almost every activity available” and tries to catch as many Vikings, Twins, and Timberwolves games as possible. Shelly also enjoys teaching religious education and being a member of the St. Nicholas finance council.
