Woods Fuller Welcomes Newest Associate - Courtney Chapman

Woods Fuller is pleased to announce the addition of Associate Courtney Chapman to our team of attorneys.

Originally from Rapid City, Courtney obtained her bachelor’s degree from Black Hills State University. She earned her juris doctorate from University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law in 2021, graduating summa cum laude and with Sterling Honors.

While in law school, Courtney served as the president of the Moot Court Board, graduate assistant, student representative on the Academic Affairs and Curriculum Committee, and student liaison for the South Dakota Trial Lawyers Association. Upon graduation, Courtney received the Gavel Award, which is given to the student who is deemed most outstanding by the law school faculty.

Following graduation she clerked for Chief Justice Steven R. Jensen of the South Dakota Supreme Court.

In her free time she enjoys reading, playing cards, and spending time with her husband, Daniel and their dog, Gracie.
